About Us

At Big Far Designs, our brand was born from a moment of wonder. Artist and founder JD Peters was sharing stories of distant places with his three-year-old son, who responded, “Is it big, far?”—and with that, Big Far Designs was born.

Our designs embody the same imaginative spirit, blending whimsical elements with a love for the outdoors. Each piece draws inspiration from JD’S experience with certain landscapes, including the serene Finger Lakes of New York, the rugged beauty of the Southwest, and the coastal vibes of Southern California, especially right here in San Diego. Just as a child’s imagination sees no boundaries, our creations aim to spark adventure in every journey, whether it’s exploring far-off trails or enjoying simple, outdoor fun.
